MARYLAND acts of toleration
The Maryland Acts of Toleration was a document passed in 1649. The document said that it was giving religious freedom to all Christians. With the exception of Jews. This was important because many different religions could could be in Maryland freely. They were allowed to stay in Maryland. This brought more settlers to Maryland.
